Den elektroniska tidskriften Vectors har under ett antal år publicerat (och tematiserat) spännande varianter på digital kultur och digitalt kulturarv på webben. ”Vectors is realized in multimedia, melding form and content to enact a second-order examination of the mediation of everyday life”, påpekas det om tidskriften.

En multimedial ’artikel’ som har betydande relevans för den här sajten är Emily Thompsons, ”The Roaring Twenties. An interactive exploration of the historical soundscape of New York City”. Projektinstallationen baseras på ett omfattande mediehistoriskt material kring 1920-talets New York, och beskrivs i följande ordalag: ”The project proceeds from a deeply archival impulse. It richly draws from the Municipal Archives of the City of New York, cataloging over 600 unique complaints about noise around 1930 while reproducing over 350 pages of these materials. It also includes fifty-four excerpts of Fox Movietone newsreels, early sound experiments that at once captured and technologically remediated the sounds of New York City, as well as hundreds of other photographs and print materials.”
